Gordon was among the police who witnesses the breaking news that Metropolis had been destroyed by the Joker's nuclear bomb. He is visibly shocked.
In #6 Jim Gordon is seen on one of the Fortress of Soltidues' monitor crystals being asked by reporters if Joker had been killed in custody and if it was true that Superman was responsible for doing this. Gordon however states that the G.C.P.D will get the official statement out as soon as possible.
Gordon first appeared in Injustice Gods Among Us and makes a cameo appearance in #6. He dies in issue #20 of Year 2 from cancer.
