Rose Constantine (Injustice Gods Among Us Year 3)

First Appearance: Injustice Gods Among Us: Year 3 #1

The daughter of John Constantine and a woman, who's second name was Porter, Rose lived in Liverpool with her mother and Steven (unknown relation.) John decided to stay out of her life partly by choice and partly to protect her from the numerous demons and magicians he has as his enemies. 

However the house was destroyed when a Green Lantern's corps fell on top of it, killing all except her. Constantine arrives and finds his daughter, who he hugs. However he can feel that they are being watched by dangerous forces. He consouls her and cheers her up by producing a silver coin from behind her ear, which she asks about how he could do that.

Constantine takes her to the Tower of Fate, where she falls asleep in front of the fire. He leaves her in the Tower for her protection, going to Detective Chimp to learn what the threat is so that he will know how to protect her if she is ever in danger.

EPILOGUE: WORLD’S END OF YEAR TWO (Transcript)

SCENE #1: AFTERMATH OF THE BATTLE

BLACK CANARY LIES IN THE FETAL POSITION IN THE CRATER, COVERED BY HER OWN BLOOD. SHE IS BADLY BATTERED AND HER COSTUME IS TORN.
DR. FATE HOVERS DOWN TO EARTH, LANDING BESIDE HER FALLEN BODY. HE REMOVES THE HELMET OF FATE TO REVEAL HE IS AN OLD MAN WITH STEELY GREY EYES AND WHITE/ GREY HAIR. HE LOOKS AT THE HELMET ANGRILY, KENT NELSON. HE LOOKS AT DINAH’S BODY AND MAKES UP HIS MIND.
KENT NELSON:
Fuck Fate.
 
SCENE #2: ALTERNATE EARTH- SOMEWHERE
A SMALL WOODEN CABIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY, IN THE SHADOWS BENEATH THE MOUNTAINS HAS IT’S LIGHTS ON. AN AXE IS STICKING OUT OF A FELLED TREE AND SMOKE IS RISING FROM THE CHIMNEY.
DINAH LANCE:
Where...?
 
SCENE #3: ALTERNATE EARTH- INSIDE THE CABIN

DINAH WAKES, CLUTCHING HER HEAD. SHE HAS BEEN PLACED IN A BED, WITH KENT NELSON WATCHING OVER HER WITH HIS ARMS FOLDED.
DINAH LANCE:
Where am I?
KENT NELSON:
You are in another place. Another universe. Another Earth. You were fated to die. I... intervened.
FROM THE NEXT ROOM, CONNOR LANCE CAN BE HEARD CRYING. DINAH’S EYES SHOOT UP TO LOOK FOR HIM.
DINAH LANCE:
Connor?
SHE LOOKS AT HIM IN ASTONISHMENT.
DINAH LANCE: (CONT’D)
You brought him, too?
KENT NELSON:
Of course.
A UNSEEN MAN ENTERS THE ROOM, CRADLING CONNOR IN HIS ARMS. CONNOR IS SMILING AS HE LOOKS INTO THE MAN’S FACE.
DINAH LANCE:
Who...?
SHE STARES INTO THE FACE OF OLIVER QUEEN. HE LOOKS BACK WITH A LOOK SIMILAR TO HERS.
DINAH LANCE: (CONT’D)
Ollie?
HE HANDS CONNOR OVER, LOOKING DOWN AT HIM.
DINAH LANCE: (CONT’D)
I don’t understand...
THEY STAND OPPOSITE EACH OTHER, LOOKING INTO EACH OTHERS EYES. KENT IS WATCHING THEM. (BACK TURNED FROM CAMERA)
KENT NELSON:
The Oliver Queen of this Earth lost his Dinah Lance five years ago. The two of you have never met. I can’t guarantee you happiness, but I can give you each other.
KENT TURNS TO GO. DINAH CALLS AFTER HIM.
DINAH LANCE:
But my world... Superman.
KENT NELSON:
I won’t take you back there. I have already broken too many rules. And you have sacrificed enough.
KENT GIVES A SMILE TO CONNOR, WHO HAS FALLEN ASLEEP IN DINAH’S ARMS.
KENT NELSON: (CONT’D)
Goodbye, Connor Lance-Queen. I hope you have a wonderful life.
THEY WATCH AS HE MAKES HIS WAY OUT OF THE ROOM, MOVING TOWARDS A WINDOW.
OLIVER TURNS HIS ATTENTION BACK TO DINAH AND CONNOR. HE POINTS AT THE BABY.
OLIVER QUEEN:
Connor...?
DINAH SMILES.
DINAH LANCE:
Yes.
OLIVER QUEEN:
I’ve always liked that name.
OLIVER SMILES TOO.
DINAH LANCE:
I know.
HE SMILES WIDER AS HIS EYES BEGIN TO WELL.

SCENE #1: LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND
 
JOHN CONSTANTINE STANDS IN THE POURING RAIN, HIS HEAD BOWED AND A CIGARETTE HANGING FROM HIS MOUTH, WHICH IS SMOKING LIGHTLY. HE IS WEARING A LONG BROWN TRENCH COAT, BLACK NECK TIE, WHITE FORMAL SHIRT AND BLACK TROUSERS.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
I called in a lot of favors. I put all sorts of wards on this place. It was about as protected as a house could get. No one magical could even see this place if they looked at it. But there was one thing I hadn’t planned for.
CONSTANTINE IS LOOKING AT A PARTLY RUINED BUILDING, WHICH HAD BEEN CRUSHED BY A DEAD GREEN LANTERN, WHO IS LYING ON TOP OF THE RUBBLE.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
I hadn’t planned for a giant friggin’ alien to fall out of the sky.
CONSTANTINE LOOKS AT HIM ANGRILY.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Ugly here was a Green Lantern. Alien space police.
CONSTANTINE FLICKS THE FINISHED CIGARETTE AT THE CORPSE, WHICH BOUNCED OFF HIS HEAD.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Yes. Really.
 
SCENE #2: FLASHBACK TO THE GREEN LANTERN WAR: THE SKY
 
THE FINAL DAY OF THE WAR. SUPERMAN (A MEMBER OF THE SINESTRO CORPS) IS FIGHTING AGAINST GANTHET, TRYING TO HIT HIM WITH HEAT VISION. YELLOW AND GREEN EXPLOSIONS ARE ERUPTING BEHIND THEM AND BODIES ARE DROPPING OUT OF ORBIT.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
There was a war.

SCENE #3: FLASHBACK TO THE GREEN LANTERN WAR: UNKNOWN LOCATION
 
PEOPLE ARE WATCHING IN FEAR AND SHOCK WITH SOME COVERING THEIR MOUTHS. THEY ARE STANDING IN FRONT OF A LARGE STONE HORSE MONUMENT.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
And, like all wars fought by powerful, arrogant mother-lovers who can’t see past their own pathetic self-interest...
THERE IS A MASSIVE EXPLOSION, WHICH VAPORIZES SOME OF THE PEOPLE. OTHER PEOPLE ARE KNOCKED DOWN BY RUBBLE. THE HORSE IS CRUMBLING DOWN AROUND THEM.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
A whole lot of innocent people died for no damn reason.
 
SCENE #4: FLASHBACK TO THE GREEN LANTERN WAR: UNKNOWN LOCATION
 
CITIES ARE ON FIRE AND FLAMING DEBRIS IS STRIKING THE CITY. AMONGST THEM, GREEN BALLS OF LIGHT HURTLE DOWN AS WELL, ONE SMASHING THROUGH A SKYSCRAPER.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
These things started falling out of the sky. Took out buildings, whole neighborhoods...
 
SCENE #5: LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND
A BLOOD STAINED HAND IS POKING FROM BENEATH THE RUBBLE.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
And two people who lived here. But they weren’t the only people who lived here.
A GIRL PUSHES HER WAY FROM BEHIND A PANEL OF RUBBLE, HER FACE BRUISED. SHE IS WEARING A OF NAVY SHORTS, PURPLE JUMPER WITH A WHITE V-NECK T-SHIRT VISIBLE BENEATH AND TRAINERS.
ROSE:
John...
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Her name is Rose.
ROSE:
Mummy and Steven went into the kitchen... they were getting my chips.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Her last name is Porter but that’s not... that was her mum’s name. She has another.
JOHN KNEELS DOWN OFFERING HER HIS HAND.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Yeah. Yeah, I’m sorry, love.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Her other name is cursed.
ROSE AND CONSTANTINE’S HANDS MEET.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
Her true name is Rose Constantine.
HER THROWS HER ARMS AROUND HIM.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
She’s my daughter. I’ve been almost no part of her life, so far. Partly by choice but, also, partly to protect her. If her identity were known, with the enemies I have, her life would be over. She would be killed in seconds... or worse. And now, she’s exposed.
JOHN’S EYES OPEN AND HE GLANCES AROUND, SUSPICIOUS BY A TINGLING FEELING AND A PRESENCE OF SOMEONE BEING THERE.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
I can feel a... presence. Something is watching. Something knows she exists. Something bloody powerful. Everything I did to protect her identity has just been undone.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Here? What’s this?
CONSTANTINE REACHES FOR HER EAR, PULLING HIS HAND BACK TO REVEAL A SHINY POUND COIN. HE SMILES AT THE SURPRISED LOOK ON HER FACE.
ROSE:
How did you do that?
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Simple, love... magic.
 
SCENE #6: THE TOWER OF FATE
 
STONES ARE FLOATING IN THE SWIRLING PURPLE VORTEX WITH FORKS OF WHITE LIGHTNING CRASHING AROUND THE ANCIENT BRICK WORK.
 
SCENE #7: INSIDE THE TOWER OF FATE
 
DR. FATE LOOKS ALERT.
DR. FATE:
Zatanna! Something is coming.
ZATANNA LOOKS STUNNED AND DR. FATE’S EYES NARROW BEHIND THE HELMET OF FATE. THEY STARE AT THE DOOR.
ZATANNA:
Impossible! We’re outside time and space. Nothing can reach us here.
DR. FATE:
Nothing has before. Be ready... it’s here.
DR. FATE’S HANDS GLOW ELECTRIC BLUE AND MYSTICAL SYMBOLS CIRCLE HIS GAUNTLETS. HIS CAPE FLAPS IN A SILENT WIND.
THE SYMBOLS DIE DOWN AS THEY HERE A KNOCK ON THE DOOR. ZATANNA MOVES TOWARDS THE DOOR AS THEIR IS ANOTHER KNOCK. ZATANNA LOOKS SUSPICIOUS. THERE ARE TWO MORE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.
DR. FATE RECREATES THE ENERGY BEAM. ZATANNA REACHES FOR THE DOOR AS THERE IS A FIFTH KNOCK. SHE OPENS THE DOOR AND IS SHOCKED AT WHO IS THERE. CONSTANTINE AND ROSE ARE STANDING ON THIN AIR. HE SMILES AT HER.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
‘Allo, Z!
ZATANNA:
John...?
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Let us in, will yeh? It’s a bit chilly in oblivion.
 
SCENE #8: INSIDE THE TOWER OF FATE
 
ROSE IS CURLED UP IN AN ARMCHAIR IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE. THE WALL IS DECORATED WITH MYSTICAL AND DARK ARTIFACTS.
ZATANNA:
Your daughter?
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Yeah. I was surprised as you when I found out. I wish I could say it’s a long story but the truth is I don’t actually remember much of it. I need you to watch her for a bit, ey? Keep her safe.
ZATANNA:
Why? Where are you going?
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Our plan needs to change. I need answers. Something magical was watching us in Liverpool. Something big and scary.
DR. FATE:
Yes. Something has shifted. I can feel it even inside these walls.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Any idea what it is?
DR. FATE:
I know not. But I fear a great malevolence has risen to aid Superman.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
For the three of us to be clueless on this, it has to be something pretty powerful. There’s a couple of gods and a spirit of vengeance that fit the bill. I want to know what this is before we go any further.
DR. FATE:
You should know, John Constantine, I sense we are on the path of much pain and suffering.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Well, you should know that vague, ominous sentences that include no actual solid information make you sound like a tosser no matter how shiny your helmet is.
TURNS TO ZATANNA.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (CONT’D)
Z. I need you to send me to someone.
ZATANNA:
Who?
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
You know who.
ZATANNA PUTS HER HAND ON HER HIPS.
ZATANNA:
He’s hiding, after everything that’s happened...
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
He can’t hide in the shadows forever.
ZATANNA:
He doesn’t like you.
JOHN SMILES AT HER.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
Of course he doesn’t. He can see straight through me. It’s what he does. But we need him, Z. I promise I’ll try not to piss him off too much.
CONSTANTINE LOOKS BACK AT ROSE, WHO HAD FALLEN ASLEEP WHERE SHE LAY.
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (CONT’D)
I need her to be safe. For that to happen, I need to know what we’re dealing with. Please, Z...
 
SCENE #9: UNKNOWN LOCATION
 
JOHN CONSTANTINE: (V.O.)
I need you to send me to the greatest detective in the world.
JOHN MATERIALIZES IN THE MIDDLE OF A MESSY ROOM, WHERE BOOKS HAVE BEEN PILED HIGH. A VOICE, DETECTIVE CHIMP, COMES FROM THE CORNER OF THE ROOM.
DETECTIVE CHIMP:
You always magically appear in rooms unannounced?
CONSTANTINE LIGHTS A CIGARETTE WITHOUT LOOKING UP.
JOHN CONSTANTINE:
You don’t seem surprised to see me.
DETECTIVE CHIMP:
I’m rarely surprised. Now... What the fuck do you want, Constantine?
DETECTIVE CHIMP IS SITTING ON AN OLD AND BADLY WORN SOFA. A LARGE TOWER OF PIZZA BOXES ARE BALANCING. IN ONE OF HIS HANDS HE IS HOLDING A PINT MUG OF BEER. A SLICE OF PIZZA IS STUCK TO THE LID OF A BOX CLOSEST TO HIM. HE IS WEARING A TRENCH COAT, SIMILAR TO JOHN’S AND A SHERLOCK HOLMES STYLED HAT.

Gotham Season 1- Episode 2 (Review)

This was very good and is a great start up for Selina Kyle.

The episode is about a number of homeless children,  who have been kidnapped by two henchmen working for the Dollmaker. It also functions as the Penguin's first time to use extortion.

Selina Kyle was just stunning and Oswald Cobblepot had brutal and intense present about him. Still my heart is for Nigma, who is just so socially akward that he is sweet.

I need a little time to get use this Alfred, but in time I think I will.

Overal this episode is great and if they keep this quality up, it will be a great series.

Raoul (Gotham)

First Appearance: Gotham Season 1 Epsiode 1

Raoul is one of Fish Mooney's henchmen and emloyee's at her Nightclub, who decided to double cross and steal money from her.

When Fish found out, she took him and her thugs to the alleyway, behind her club and began to interrogate him by continously beating him with a baseball bat. She tells him that she still cares for him, but believes his betrayl proves he no longer cares for her. When he tries to plea through his swollen face that he does, she asks him where her money is, giving him another whack. He tells her he will get it and give it to her, but she is distracted by the rain, causing her to shout at Cobblepot for letting her get wet. She is further distracted by the arrival of one of the club's bartenders, who tells her Bullock is waiting to see her. She leaves, telling them to keep him "warm" for me. Gilzean asks Oswald if he wants a go and he excitedly accepts, hitting soft at first, but getting harder with each whack and laughing with each hit.

Oswald persits to violently beat Raoul, making him scream louder. Butch and another thug tell him to tae it easy, referring to him as "Penguin." But before a fight brakes out between them, Gordon arrives to investigate the source of the shouting. Gordon tells Oswald to drop the bat, which he complies, while Gilzean tells them they are just having fun. Raoul is forced to weekly ut two thumbs up and Gordon leaves. Butch throws him aside into a puddle.

The Comedians (Gotham)

Fish Mooneys has a comedy night where Mooney auditions some of Gotham's ameatuer comedians to take up the gig in the club.


Jon Beavers

First Appearance: Gotham Season 1 Episode 1- Pilot 

The comedian is an unnamed amatour, who is auditioning to be part of Fish Mooney's entertainment.

Fish and Oswald (in the background) are watching his act while having she is her dinner. His sense of humour is rather dark telling the joke "I'm not affraid of death, much as I am of dying. I want to die how my father died... peacefully in his sleep. Not like his screaming, terrified passengers," which Fish finds hilarious and Oswald smiles at. When Gilzean calls her, Fish asks him to give her moment but tells him he is doing great.

He waits on the stage as Fish asks Cobblepot to massage her feet, telling him that she hasn't forgotten about him and likes him, becuase she finds him funny. He looks on in terror as Fish beats Oswald with a chair and further brakes his leg with the chairs, after discovering he had "snitched" on her to the Major Crimes Unit.

(Already confirmed by Fox that comedian #1 is not to be the Joker... but he is said to be appearing at some point)

Qing Lu (Batman Arkham Origins)

First Appearance: Batman Arkham Origins 

Qing Lu is a henchman for the Penguin and is one of his best hit men. He is highly trained at martial arts.

Lu worked for an arms dealer Alex Cane, who also was one of Penguin's henchmen. He eventually grew tired and decided to kill him.

During an arms deal on Chrstmas Eve, Lu shot and killed Cane in the heart so he could advance further up in Penguin's gang. However Cane throws a Molatov cocktail at him, before he dies, in an effort to kill him as well. Lu is forced to escape over a wall and up a ladder, which leads to part of the ladder coming away from the wall and his fingerprints being left at the scene of the crime.

He returns to the Final Offer, where he brags about killing Cane to some of Penguin's henchmen as Cane had become "lazy." He also offers to do jobs like Cane used to do.

Batman arrives after scanning the finger prints on the ladder and subbues Li, who whilst being interrogating, says that if Penguin had known he was responsible for Cane's death he would have ended up being killed. Batman knocks him out and sends a message to the police along with the evidence to backup the murder so they can come and arrest him.
